Q: How do I submit claims and service requests to Universal To The Trade?

A: Authorized To The Trade accounts can submit claims by emailing us at claimsupport@universalfurniture.com call us at 800-776-7986 for more information on how to file a claim or the status of a claim.

Q: How do I submit a service request to Universal To The Trade?

Q: How to do I check the status of a Claim?

Q: How are defective product claims, which are not freight related, covered under Universal Furniture Limited Warranty?

A: These claimers will be addressed in the following manner:

  • Universal will determine if the product can be repaired and will arrange for said repairs, providing parts at no cost to the participant. Repair work that is not arranged by Universal should be paid for by the participant and may be submitted for reimbursement. All repairs that are anticipated to exceed $100 should be pre-approved by Universal prior to the work actually being completed if the participant is seeking reimbursement. Universal will only directly pay repair providers that have been arranged or scheduled by Universal.
  • Universal may offer the participant an allowance credit to keep and use or re-sell the product "as is". This allowance credit will be in lieu of any repairs and Universal will not reimburse for repairs when an allowance credit has been granted.
  • Universal will send the participant a no-charge replacement product to the receiver warehouse OR offer a full credit or refund in lieu of replacement. Universal is not responsible for extended storage costs, travel time charges from a repair company, delayed delivery or re-delivery fees, so it is recommended all items be inspected immediately upon receipt.
